Geomembrane is composed of plastic film as the anti-seepage substrate and non-woven fabric composite. The anti-seepage performance of geomembrane mainly depends on the anti-seepage performance of plastic film. The plastic films used for anti-seepage both domestically and internationally mainly include polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, and ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers. It is a polymer chemical flexible material with small proportion, strong ductility, strong deformation adaptability, corrosion resistance, low temperature resistance, and good frost resistance. Secondly, the main functions and applications of plastic film were introduced.
Geomembranes have the following excellent properties:
a) Has a high anti-seepage coefficient (1×10-17cm/s);
b) It has good temperature adaptability and can be used in environments with high temperatures of 110 ℃ and low temperatures of -70 ℃;
c) It has good anti-corrosion performance and can resist chemical corrosion such as strong acid, alkali, and oil, making it an excellent anti-corrosion material;
d) With high tensile strength, geomembranes can be used in harsh geological and climatic conditions, and have strong strain resistance under uneven geological settlement, meeting the needs of high standard engineering;
e) It has good anti-aging and anti ultraviolet performance in harsh natural environment, can be exposed for a long time, is not easy to be decomposed and maintains its original performance;
f) Using high-quality native plastic and carbon black particles, without any preservatives, it is a very environmentally friendly material;
g) Strong ability to resist penetration of plant roots;
h) The construction is convenient and fast, with multiple specifications and diverse laying forms, which can meet the anti-seepage requirements of different projects. The hot melt welding method is adopted, with high weld strength, and the construction is convenient, fast, and environmentally friendly.
Geomembrane, with its excellent tear resistance physical and mechanical properties, low temperature resistance, aging resistance, corrosion resistance, and long service life, has been widely used in anti-seepage projects such as sewage treatment plant anti-seepage, artificial lake anti-seepage, sewage evaporation pool anti-seepage, oil separation pool anti-seepage, sedimentation tank lining and secondary lining, tailings pond, garbage landfill, etc.
Main applications
Warp knitted composite reinforced waterproof geotextile has excellent water resistance, durability, and protection. It can be widely used in railway, highway, sports venues, embankments, water conservancy projects, tunnels, coastal areas, land reclamation, environmental protection and other projects.
In addition, the geomembrane has the characteristics of high tensile strength, low elongation, uniform longitudinal and transverse deformation, high tear strength, good wear resistance, and strong water resistance. It is an international high-level applied geological combination.
